The dollar hit a four-and-a-half-month low of Rs 163 on the interbank market:
The Pakistani rupee continues to recover in the local currency markets. At the Interbank Foreign Exchange (IFEX), the dollar fell to a four-and-a-half-month low of 163 rupees. The buying price fell from Rs 163.20 to Rs 162.70 and the selling price fell by 30 paise to Rs 163 from Rs 163.30, while in the local open currency market the dollar fell by 40 paise to Rs 192.90 from Rs 163.30. And the selling price fell from Rs 163.60 to Rs 163.20.
In other currencies, the euro fell by Rs 1.50 to Rs 189 from Rs 190.50 and the selling price fell from Rs 192 to Rs 191, while the British pound fell by Rs 1.50 from Rs 210.50 to Rs 209 and from Rs 212.50 to Rs 211.
