Conditional announcement by the Federal Minister for IT to lift the ban on tick tack. According to details, an important announcement has been made by the Federal Minister for IT Aminul Haq regarding the lifting of the ban on tick tack in Pakistan. The Federal Minister said that the Ministry of IT was against any restriction that would hinder the development process.
As soon as the immoral content on TikTok is removed, the ban on the social media app will be lifted. The Federal Minister said that we have warned TikTok twice in the last three months regarding the content to be shared but no practical steps have been taken to address the grievances. Now the TikTok administration and the PTA are working together to sort things out.
The Federal Minister has made it clear that immoral content, hate speech or content against the state of Pakistan on social media will not be tolerated. It is reported that the management of TikTok has contacted the PTA officials. The TikTok administration is willing to remove all reservations of the government of Pakistan to lift the ban on social media in Pakistan.
The TikTok administration has offered to address the concerns by contacting PTA officials. The TikTok management has said that we have been in constant touch with the PTA and are still working with them. It is hoped that the PTA will soon reach a conclusion that will allow the TikTok app to resume operations in Pakistan. It added that TikTok is committed to complying with local laws in all service markets.
Maintaining a safe and positive environment in the application is the company's top priority. We have a dynamic system that ensures that these platforms are safe and enjoyable for users. In this regard, PTA sources have confirmed the contact by TikTok and said that if the app management improves its anti-illegal content prevention system, PTA can restore it.
